Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorns w/ Vegan Kisses

Aren’t these little Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorns adorable? I’ve seen these treats all over Pinterest for years, but figured I’d have to wait until someone marketed a vegan version of Hershey’s Kisses before I could make my own.

Autumn pins are starting up again, and I’ve been seeing lots of these guys. Before I could be sad about it I remembered the kisses I made for Valentine’s Day using Fork and Bean’s method.

After that recollection I knew these cute edible acorns were on! I bought some chocolate chips and peanut butter crackers, and got to work.

The thing about making kisses is they’re time consuming. Really time consuming, so I only made around 16 acorn treats with my two funnels. It took forever, but we ate them in no time. They’re really really yummy!

These don’t require a recipe since it’s basically just assembly. Here’s what I did:

1. Made vegan kisses using this post by Fork and Beans. I only filled the funnels about halfway so that they wouldn’t be bigger than the crackers.
2. Connected mini peanut butter sandwich crackers to the kisses by dipping the crackers in tempered chocolate, and attaching them to the flat base of each kiss.
3. Once that had hardened I dipped chocolate chips one at a time into the tempered chocolate, and stuck them onto the middles of each cracker.
4. I also chose to coat the edge of the crackers with crushed walnuts by “glueing” them on with tempered chocolate.

Aren’t they precious?
